Don Wallace age, 84, of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away February 26, 2019.
Don was born in 1935 in a small hamlet in Southern Ohio, where his life experiences were first formed. The rural character development process did much to prepare him for his life path. Don was proud of his unique home town base, which consisted of a love filled family life, along with an active church life.
The usual education via the Ohio schools and Fenn College in Cleveland, Ohio prepared Don for his career in the steel industry. A thirty year stint with the Republic Steel Corporation and a subsequent continuation in the metals industry as owner of Republic Metals Company in Dallas, Texas completed his chosen goals.
In 1978 Toni would become the, “fun filled”, “love of Don’s life” via a thirty eight year marriage. He often referred to that period as, his, “Life Enrichment Cycle”!!
The culmination of Don and Toni’s shared “happiness excursion” came in 1992 with their relocation to Hot Springs Village, AR. This was their, chosen, “place to be”, where they began their residence with many of God’s finest people.
Wherever Don was, he was living his life in a way that allowed him to share his special skills with others.
Those who know him might define him as a good friend, loyal, loving and often quite laughable.
Don is survived by his daughter; Deb Wallace, Step sons; Brad Lacy, Wayne Lacy and Stacy Lacy, and granddaughter Breanne Lacy.
A memorial service will be held March 15, 2019, 10:00 A.M., at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Oaklawn Park Backside Chapel, PO Box 20564 Hot Springs, Arkansas 71909
